Peppermint Harvest 2026 : From Indian Fields to Global Essential Oil Markets
Celebrating Peppermint with 49 Years of Aromatic & Allied’s Farming Legacy
For nearly 49 years, Aromatic & Allied has remained closely connected to India’s farming communities and the global essential oils industry. Since 1977, the company has built strong expertise in natural essential oils, organic products, and especially Peppermint cultivation and processing.

A Harvest Beyond Agriculture
The Peppermint harvest season is more than an agricultural activity for us — it is a celebration of farmers, sustainability, quality, and shared growth. Every Peppermint crop reflects our commitment to responsible farming, purity, and long-term partnerships with growers across India.

Today, Aromatic & Allied works directly with around 50,000 farmers, supporting both conventional and organic farming practices through field visits, technical guidance, crop monitoring, and agronomy support.
Why Peppermint Matters
Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is one of the world’s most valued mint crops, known for its fresh, cooling, and sharp aroma. Its essential oil is widely used in:
✔ Oral Care ✔ Pharmaceuticals ✔ Flavors & Confectionery ✔ Cosmetics ✔ Aromatherapy ✔ Wellness Products
As global demand for natural and traceable ingredients continues to rise, sustainable Peppermint cultivation has become increasingly important.

Supporting Sustainable Farming
At Aromatic & Allied, we are steadily encouraging farming practices that support:
✔ Healthier soil ✔ Reduced chemical dependency ✔ Better biodiversity ✔ Cleaner raw materials for essential oils
Our approach toward organic transition is gradual, practical, and farmer-focused, ensuring long-term sustainability for both growers and clients.

Empowering Farmers through Partnerships
Farmer partnerships remain at the heart of our journey. Through structured agreements and MoUs, we provide:
✔ Assured Market Linkage : Reliable market support during harvest season.
✔ Technical Guidance : Support on cultivation, harvest timing, and oil yield improvement.
✔ Organic Transition Assistance : Guidance on sustainable and organic farming practices.
✔ Fair Value-Sharing Approach : Ensuring value creation benefits farming communities as well.
Sustainable Steam Distillation
After harvesting, Peppermint undergoes a carefully managed steam distillation process to extract pure essential oil.

The harvested crop is semi-dried, loaded into distillation units, and exposed to steam that releases aromatic oil compounds. The vapor is condensed, and the oil naturally separates from water before undergoing strict quality evaluation.
One of the most sustainable aspects of this process is the reuse of spent Peppermint biomass as fuel for distillation units, helping reduce waste and improve resource efficiency.

Moving Forward with Purpose
As we move forward, Aromatic & Allied remains committed to delivering high-quality Peppermint oil to global markets while supporting farmers, encouraging sustainable agriculture, and strengthening India’s leadership in the essential oils industry.
Every Peppermint harvest tells the same story :
